Prior to OSX 10.15 QuickLook was able to show the contents of native TeXmacs files. Even though they are plain text files the contents of these files is no longer shown by QL. I wonder if this can be implemented in your wonderful program?
I ran mdls on a TeXmacs file – and here's the result:
mdls test.tm
_kMDItemDisplayNameWithExtensions = "test.tm"
kMDItemContentCreationDate = 2025-01-19 17:43:01 +0000
kMDItemContentCreationDate_Ranking = 2025-01-19 00:00:00 +0000
kMDItemContentModificationDate = 2025-01-19 17:43:01 +0000
kMDItemContentType = "dyn.ah62d4rv4ge81k5k"
kMDItemContentTypeTree = (
"public.item",
"dyn.ah62d4rv4ge81k5k",
"public.data"
)
kMDItemDateAdded = 2025-01-19 17:43:01 +0000
kMDItemDisplayName = "test.tm"
kMDItemDocumentIdentifier = 0
kMDItemFSContentChangeDate = 2025-01-19 17:43:01 +0000
kMDItemFSCreationDate = 2025-01-19 17:43:01 +0000
kMDItemFSCreatorCode = ""
kMDItemFSFinderFlags = 0
kMDItemFSHasCustomIcon = (null)
kMDItemFSInvisible = 0
kMDItemFSIsExtensionHidden = 0
kMDItemFSIsStationery = (null)
kMDItemFSLabel = 0
kMDItemFSName = "test.tm"
kMDItemFSNodeCount = (null)
kMDItemFSOwnerGroupID = 20
kMDItemFSOwnerUserID = 501
kMDItemFSSize = 121
kMDItemFSTypeCode = ""
kMDItemInterestingDate_Ranking = 2025-01-19 00:00:00 +0000
kMDItemKind = "TeXmacs Document"
kMDItemLogicalSize = 121
kMDItemPhysicalSize = 4096
Maybe this helps.
Cheers, Tilda
