Open a .gld-file in the GUI editor

Bring up the Explorer activity via the Explorer icon in the Acivity Bar. Or use the shortcut Crl+Shift+E.

or

R-click the .gdl-file and
Choose either Open to the side or Open with... and select MetaP Graphical GUI Editor from the list.
